Elderly couple drown while rescuing pet from lake

A Massachusetts elderly couple, 64-year-old Donald and 61-year-old Patricia Cyr, drowned after jumping into Hampton Ponds near Westfield. They were attempting to rescue their dog Sadie, a little West Highland white terrier, who had jumped into the lake.
